Larimer County Quick Facts
Larimer County Online Booking Report
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office posts a booking report on its website that covers the past 3 days of jail bookings. You can view it at larimer.gov/sheriff/jail/booking-report. The report is free. Anyone can view it without creating an account. It pulls data straight from the jail's booking system and updates as new entries come in.
Each row in the Larimer County booking report shows several data fields. You get the inmate number, date of birth, sex, race, hold reason, arrest date, location of arrest, the arresting officer's name, and the arresting agency. Click on a row to see more details about that booking. This is one of the more detailed public booking reports among Colorado counties. Most other counties only show name and charges. Larimer gives you the officer and agency information right in the main view.
The Larimer County booking report page shows recent jail bookings with detailed fields for each entry.
The 3-day window means the report only goes back so far. Older records drop off as new ones come in. If you need booking data from more than 3 days ago, you have to contact the sheriff's office directly. They can look up older bookings and provide copies of the records.
Note: The booking report shows recent data only. For anything older than 3 days, call the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
Larimer County Booking Report Fields
The fields in the Larimer County booking report line up with what Colorado law defines as arrest record information. Under C.R.S. 24-72-302, arrest records include the identity of the arresting agency, the date and place of the arrest, the name and date of birth of the person, and the nature of the charges. The Larimer County report goes a step further by also listing the arresting officer by name and the specific location where the arrest took place.
Here is what each field means in the Larimer County booking report:
- Inmate # is the ID number assigned at booking
- DOB shows the person's date of birth
- Hold Reason lists the charges or reason for the hold
- Arrest Date is when the arrest happened
- Location tells you where the arrest was made
- Officer and Agency identify who made the arrest
This level of detail makes the Larimer County booking report a useful tool for anyone trying to track arrests in the Fort Collins area. The arresting agency field is especially helpful since multiple agencies operate in the county, from the Fort Collins Police to the Loveland Police to the sheriff's own deputies. You can see at a glance which agency handled each arrest.

VINE is a free service that tracks inmates in the Larimer County jail. The Larimer County Sheriff has a page about it at larimer.gov/sheriff/jail/vine. VINE stands for Victim Information and Notification Everyday. It runs 24 hours a day and works in English and Spanish. The toll-free number is 1-888-263-8463.
The Larimer County VINE page explains how to register for inmate status alerts.
To use VINE, go to vinelink.com and select Colorado. Search by the person's name. You can register for alerts that come by phone, email, or text. VINE will notify you if the inmate is released, transferred, or if there is any other change in custody status. Anyone can use the system. It is not just for crime victims. VINE is especially useful when you want real-time updates instead of checking the booking report over and over.
Request Larimer County Booking Records
For booking records older than 3 days, you need to make a request to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office. The Larimer County jail page has general information about the facility and its services. The sheriff's main site at larimer.gov/sheriff links to all divisions including records.
Under C.R.S. 24-72-301 et seq., the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act requires that records of official actions be open for public inspection. Arrests count as official actions. The sheriff's office has 3 working days to respond to your request and can extend that by up to 7 more days if the request is complicated. The first hour of research and retrieval is free. After that, fees can reach $41.37 per hour. Paper copies cost $0.25 per page. You must sign a statement that the records will not be used for direct business solicitation.
If you have the inmate number from the booking report, include it in your request. It speeds up the search. Names and dates of birth also help narrow things down. The more info you give the records staff, the quicker they can find what you need in the Larimer County system.
Note: ADA accommodations are available with 7 business days notice when making a records request or visiting the Larimer County jail.
Larimer County Mugshot Access
Booking photos from the Larimer County jail are public records under Colorado law. You can request them from the sheriff's office. Under C.R.S. 24-72-305.5, it is a crime to post booking photos online and charge money for their removal. The fine for this offense can reach $1,000. This law applies to mugshots from Larimer County and all other Colorado counties.
Sealed records will not show up in any search or records request. Colorado lets people petition a court to seal arrest records under certain conditions. The CBI also seals some records automatically when no charges get filed within a year. A sealed Larimer County booking record will not appear in the online booking report, a CBI check, or a VINE search. The statewide CBI Internet Criminal History Check can pull arrest data from across Colorado for $6.00 per search, but it will not include sealed records. The CDOC Offender Search covers state prison inmates only and does not include county jail booking data.
